Well looky who showed up on my doorstep this morning. Noneother than Mr. Alton Brown!
Good Eats: The Middle Years covers seasons six through ten. I believe Alton and his crew really stepped up the show into the high quality program it is now. There are also many more episodes in this era that appeal to me with recipes likely to make it to my kitchen soon. Just glancing quickly through the new book, it appears to contain more instructional pictures for procedures than the first volume, such as folding tortellini and layering/frosting a cake. The great little sketches are still there of course! And for further enjoyment, there is a DVD with '15 short subjects' included. We'll have to wait and see just what is one there.
